Surprenantes pierres érigées.
Martin Robbins: Ils sont assez impressionnants ....... merci Martine smile
It looks well visited Martin.
Martin Robbins: It does look that way, but I don't recall anyone being there at the time..........thanks Frank smile

Martin Robbins: I haven't been there since...........I should go back, it is a special place smile
I've seen at least one long barrow in your fair country, Martin, but it didn't look anything like this. WOW.
Martin Robbins: It is different from others I've seen, Ginnie........thanks smile

This is something amazing, Martin. I just went to google earth to see the location. What a find and I am always impressed how "they" "walked" around with all these big stones all over England...
Martin Robbins: I don't know how they did it, Astrid! It's well worth a visit, when you're next over.......there's a good walk involved.........it is a beautiful part of the world smile
I am in awe of this. If I were younger I would start one.
Martin Robbins: I have had similar thoughts, Mary smile

A barrow is a two-wheeled handcart used especially by street vendors. So you can imagine that in one posting, you exposed my lack of English. I saw no barrow or wheelbarrow. Then I read up on the subject of long barrows and have a proper understanding. English is not for beginners.
Martin Robbins: Hahaha, it is confusing Louis..........my partner is Russian and we have similar conversations smile
there is a good reason why they placed these huge stones in a circle Martin... there is some magic about the place....petersmile
Martin Robbins: Thanks Peter smile I believe you are right..........it’s a special place.......

Those big stones are impressive; they took some moving. It looks as though you can get inside the barrow; is that right?
Martin Robbins: Thanks Alan smile I have climbed in long barrows before, but I don’t recall doing so here........
An imposing monument!
